Our gorgeous venue was designed by Michael Jon Hogue in 1999, in an elaborate Historic office building constructed in 1873. Guests will appreciate the high quality Victorian accents that make our Pub feel like home in San Diego’s National Historic Gaslamp District. We have semi-private dining areas for Groups & Special Events,  a comfortable bar, large stage and beautiful outdoor dining area overlooking Fifth Avenue

Among the finest office buildings of its day, the Backesto Building opened in the heart of New Town’s original business district. Klauber and Levi, a pioneer grocer and general-merchandise firm, occupied the ground floor from 1879 to 1886. In 1892 San Diego Hardware opened at the site. The structure, one of the first in the Gaslamp to be restored, stands within a neighborhood  filled with century-old buildings, restaurants, nightclubs and shops, in one of only 2 National Historic Districts in the United States
